Blog#13: Unit 3 Reflect

      

       By learning Unit 3, I learned some about movies and the words of movies. Many words I didn’t know before. For example, blockbuster means very successful. Tearjerker is a movie that can make people sad. A spoiler means a little information about the story. I had a presentation about animation. When I researched online, I studied more things. I know animation has been recognized as an artistic medium, and there are three types of animation. My Aha moment was a feature film movie. I knew that it means a long story movie after I finished my presentation. I listened to my classmates' presentations. I learned different kinds of genres. For instance, I know Sci-Fi is imaginative and futuristic, and Biopics is innovative. I never heard of these two genres before. I will watch this kind of movie if I have free time. I visited some movie industry websites. One of them I like is Paramount. I think the website is amazing. I know that Paramount is 109 years old. I learned some history of cinema. I know the Oscar is an Academy Award that is voted by movie workers. I watched a video and learned about film history. I know the development of the film. Movies are magic, and they can trick our eyes and play on our brains. The film was formed by the development of technology. I read an article and learned about Tyler Perry. He had formulaic. His movies are full of African Americans, so his movies can be popular for African Americans. I put various as a bumper sticker because movies have many genres and have different races to be acters that can attract a different kind of people.
